Locals beat up a baby elephant in northeastern India's Assam.

The incident took place in Dholaguri Tea Estate district on November 28.

Visuals showed 10-12 elephants walking in a herd comfortably when a boy hit the little elephant hard with a stick.

The mother got angry on seeing him and started chasing him. Later the elephant trumpeted seeing many locals around and retraced its path.
