A woman rescued an 87-year-old man from drowning in a frozen lake in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Rushan in Shandong Province on December 31, 2022, shows a police officer named Zhang Xinyuan holding a stick and being dragged to the shore.

She then turned around to help bring the elderly man back to safety.

According to reports, Zhang and her mother took a walk in Hebin Park and suddenly heard people asking for help.

Zhang ran to the lake immediately and stepped onto the ice layer to try to save the pensioner.

However, the ice layer suddenly broke and she fell into the lake as well. She then swam to the elderly man to drag him back to the shore.

With the help of the residents on the shore, Zhang took the 87-year-old back to safety successfully.

The elderly man reportedly walked onto the frozen lake by mistake when taking a walk in the park.

Since he was rescued in time, he has almost recovered.

“你赶紧上来！”“你赶上事（生理期）了！”这时，她的母亲在岸边哽咽地提醒。
“我没有事，放心吧，我会游泳！”面对母亲的劝告，张鑫圆没有回头，在冰水中紧紧抓住老人，奋力将其往岸上拽。最终，在周围群众的帮助下，张鑫圆成功将老人救上岸。
经了解，老人今年87岁，在湖滨公园散步时误入冰面落水，经及时救治，身体已无大碍。
