Three buildings tilted significantly due to the ground subsidence in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Zhanjiang in Guangdong Province on February 22 shows a building tilting to one side and the site being cordoned off.

Three buildings on Lehua Street, Zhanjiang Economic Development Zone were found to have significant tilts on the morning of February 22.
After on-site analysis and evaluation, the rescue team designated the area as a sealed-off zone and implemented measures to cut off water, electricity and gas supply.

A hard cordon has been set up and 24-hour on-duty supervision is in place.

The evacuation team quickly and safely relocated residents from the sealed-off area and provided proper assistance.

The professional rescue team has taken effective measures to stabilise the situation and control further tilting of the buildings. Continuous monitoring of the tilt angle is being carried out with instruments.

All residents have been evacuated and there were no casualties. The local authorities are assessing the situation and developing further action plans for the tilted buildings. Rescue, stabilisation and repair work is proceeding in an orderly manner.

The cause is being investigated.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
