Footage has emerged from China of an audacious attempted daytime bank robbery.

The CCTV, captured last week in Nanning, shows a man walking up to the counter, taking the cash and leaving.

However, bank security staff we able to quickly control the man before handing him over to police.

Police reportedly told local media that the man didn't understand the services of the bank when he need some money in a hurry, so he went to the counter and robbed it.
