Hungry wild boar caught while looking through rubbish for food in Pattaya
A hungry wild boar was caught while rummaging through rubbish looking for food in Thailand.
The large beast sparked panic among residents and tourists when it roamed through a neighbourhood in Pattaya's Bang Lamung District in search of its next meal on April 10.
It was seen picking through rubbish bins near condos, frightening the locals who feared it would charge at them.
Wildlife handlers arrived after receiving reports, and tried to catch the boar using ropes. Failing that, they used tranquilisers instead to subdue it.
The sedated animal was then hauled onto a truck, and will be handed over to a wildlife organisation if no one claims it.
