Flash floods submerged a city in southern China due to a heavy rainstorm.

Video filmed in the city of Xiamen in Fujian Province on April 18 shows deep floodwater submerging the streets.

Some vehicles drove through the floods and some were stranded on the flooded road.

Fujian's Xiamen City was hit by heavy rainfall on April 18, causing severe flooding on the roads and resulting in submerged vehicles and transportation disruptions. The entire city was experiencing heavy traffic congestion as a result.

Xiamen Meteorological Bureau issued a warning for the rainstorm and a level-three emergency response for defending against rainstorm flooding was activated at 11:45 am on Tuesday (April 18).
