Spider found in woman's ear canal at hospital in China
A woman in her 40s visited the Huidong County People's Hospital in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province on April 20, complaining of ringing in her left ear and decreased hearing.
A doctor was surprised to find that a spider had crawled into her ear and built a web, making itself at home.
Dr. Han observed that the patient's left ear canal was full of white filamentous material. After removing it, he could see the spider moving and preparing to escape deep inside the ear canal.
Dr. Han quickly caught the spider and successfully removed it. Fortunately, the spider was not venomous, and the patient only suffered minor damage to the ear canal.
The incident was filmed on April 20 and provided with local media's permission.
