A flying plastic bin lid knocked over a man during strong winds in Thailand.

Nattawut Paenrod was gardening when the cover flew like a frisbee toward his head. It struck him straight on the temple and sent him tumbling over - his shorts even falling down like a scene from a slapstick comedy.

Fortunately Nattawut was unhurt and climbed to his feet. He laughed when he watched the CCTV back to figure out what had caused the accident in Phitsanulok province on April 23.

Nattawut said: 'I laughed at what had happened when I saw it on the security camera. Thankfully, I was not hurt. Nobody is to blame but I think people could secure their covers somehow to prevent this kind of thing from happening during storms.'

The Thai Meteorological Department warned that southerly and southeasterly were prevailing over northeastern Thailand would strengthen between April 23 and 26 as the country approaches its stormy monsoon season.

Outbreaks of summer storms, accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds, hail, and lightning strikes, were expected to affect the northeastern and eastern parts of the country first, before spreading to other regions.
