Strong winds topple self-service car wash, damaging multiple vehicles in China
An outdoor self-service car wash in southern China toppled by fierce winds, causing widespread damage.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Dongguan in Guangdong Province on June 13 shows an outdoor self-service car wash being brutally upended by strong gusts of wind, causing it to fall onto the parked vehicles.
The violent winds not only wreaked havoc on the car wash facility but also resulted in severe damage to neighbouring amusement park structures.
The car wash equipment and four vehicles were severely damaged due to the unfortunate incident. Initial estimates pegged the losses at a staggering 200,000 yuan ($28,000).
The insurance company would compensate and the car wash facility would be fully restored and ready to resume operations within 15 days.
