High-Altitude worker luckily survives torrential storm in China
A high-altitude worker luckily survived after finding himself trapped amidst a raging storm in northern China.
Terrifying video filmed in the city of Baoji in Shaanxi Province on June 26 shows a worker getting stuck in a precarious basket hoisted halfway up a towering skyscraper.
The basket can be seen caught in the violent gusts of wind, swinging haphazardly to and fro. With every gust, it continuously bashed against the exterior wall of the skyscraper, teetering on the brink of disaster.
Eyewitnesses reported a scene of terror and desperation as the worker, against all odds, managed to clamber into the safety of the building through a window.
On June 27, Baoji City Emergency Management Bureau confirmed that the storm lasted for a terrifying 20 minutes. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
