An unannounced visit is experienced by local residents lucky enough to be home. A full everyday mix of building workers, office workers, children and shop keepers witnessed the event. King Charles The Third is on his first visit since ascending the throne. The unofficial visit did not attract crowds and as such was very relaxed and informal with at least one school girl and her dad getting a selfie with king. Charles envisaged this new town decades ago and although only 600 homes of over 4000 are built, the expansion will take another 20 years. The development to the highest design and environmental standards has become a resounding hit with the inhabitants. The development is on Duchy of Cornwall land and therefore now in the hands of his son William who inherited the Dukedom of Cornwall on his fathers coronation. However the King is emotionally invested in his creation and will continue to support and visit. A strict design code by the Duchy and strict charter for residents means holiday letting the properties is not on the cards and a long list of prohibitions must be adhered to, all with the intention to preserve the integrity of the whole. The King met with Hatter Marcel Rodriguez who from his Nansledan shop and workshop, the King recently bought a specially designed hat. Building workers downed tools for a few words and friendly handshakes with the king.
