STUNNING images of past Team GB swimmer Rebecca Richardson swooshing some tennis shots underwater have been captured in a quirky homage to Wimbledon.
STUNNING images of past Team GB swimmer Rebecca Richardson swooshing some tennis shots underwater have been captured in a quirky homage to Wimbledon.
One of the images shows a talented Rebecca tossing the ball before sending it out for a toss underwater.
These images were taken in Newark at a private swimming pool.
These thrilling images were captured by Sheffield-based photographer Lucy Ray (42) using a camera in underwater housing.
“I love the idea of putting things underwater that normally would happen there,” said Lucy.
“I wanted Rebecca to look like she was standing on the water.
“So she had to pose upside-down with her feet on the surface of the water so when I flipped the picture, she would be standing on water.
"It wasn't an easy pose to adopt and it took many attempts to get her feet in the right position.
“We both had to hold our breath for quite a long time to get the results.”
