Thai cinemas adorned in flashy pink decor for new Barbie movie
Cinemas in Thailand were decorated with flashy pink decor for the upcoming release of the new Barbie film.
Major Cineplex and SF Cinema decked out their theatres in Barbie-inspired posters and wallpapers to promote the opening of the movie scheduled on July 20.
At Major Cineplex Ratchayothin in Bangkok, the ticket booth has been transformed into a Barbie wonderland, complete with a life-sized Barbie box, where mallgoers can step inside and pretend to be Barbie dolls.
The cinema is also offering a special 450-THB (13 USD) Barbie popcorn bucket set that comes with a Barbie box-shaped popcorn container with buttery popcorn and two glasses of softdrinks.
SF World Cinema at Central World Bangkok is also joining in on the Barbie fun, with similar decor and a fabulous pink convertible cut-out where they can pose for photos.
A 359-THB (10.4 USD) Barbie combo set is also being sold at the theatre. It includes a popcorn bucket with 64 ounces of popcorn and a special B-shaped Barbie cup containing soda.
The new Barbie film, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is scheduled to premiere in Thai cinemas on July 20.
