July 29 marks International Tiger Day.
 
Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo offers visitors a unique perspective to observe the life of tigers.

"Traditional zoos have a design that allows visitors to observe the animals from a higher ground. Here, we have an opposite design. Animals can walk on an overpass, so visitors need to raise their heads to see them. It's a new perspective."
 
Tigers at the zoo are usually fed three to four times a day, with tricks to add some fun and practice their agility.

"We freeze the tigers' favorite food to prevent them from the summer heat and cool them down."

"We hang their food on a high pillar to train their explosive power and jumping abilities. Only by biting and tearing apart the cardboard tubes can tigers eat the meat inside. This process makes it more difficult for them to get food, and reduces their idle time and repetitive behaviors."
