A massive boulder crashing down a mountain narrowly missed a red SUV navigating the winding paths in central China.

The dashcam video was filmed in Shennongjia Forestry District in Hubei Province on October 2. An enormous rock suddenly tumbled from the mountainside, making a beeline for the roadway below. The boulder, in a close call, narrowly brushes past the red SUV, landing with such force that it creates a crater roughly 30 centimetres deep in the middle of the road.

Mr Li, the driver of the trailing car, described the chilling event, recounting how it was a mere whisker away from directly hitting the vehicle in front. "It was absolutely terrifying," he exclaimed.

Miraculously, the only damage to the SUV was a slight dent in the driver's side door, and no one was injured in the incident.
