Dr. Hospital Djamil Hospital, Padang City, where Adnan, a 5-month-old baby boy, was declared pregnant after an X-ray and ultrasound scan and examination. Tuesday, (24/10/2023).

The baby was found to have a one month old abdominal swelling disorder, so he underwent a routine examination and was referred to the hospital at RSUP M Djamil Padang.

Currently the child's condition looks healthy, but the baby boy's stomach is bulging, it is suspected that the baby's twin attached to the baby's stomach is no longer alive but will become a parasite for the child.

Dr M Djamil Hospital Radiology Doctor, Tuti Handayani, said Adnan was a baby boy, referred from M Zain Hospital, Painan, for further examination.

"We from the hospital did a scan on Adnan when he was 3 months old. During the examination we found a tumor in Adnan's stomach. The tumor consists of body components, fat, fluid and bone components," he said.

In this reinforcement component is la, which is visible in the stomach of Adnan which resembles a leg or Vetus Invetu. This Vetus Inventi incident occurred in the world, where it is extreme or very rare.

"Vetus Inventu occurred during the mother's pregnancy, so the babies were two twins, but one did not grow apart and grew attached so it grew in Adnan's stomach, so when it was born it looked like there were actually two babies," he said.
Usually the baby in the baby's body is called non-living or no longer alive, but turns into a parasite for the other baby.

"Adnan will later be treated by a pediatric surgeon, who will form a team to carry out further treatment," he explained.
