STORYLINE:
The world's first floating wind power-fishery integrated platform was completed recently at the Nanri Island offshore wind farm in Putian, east China's Fujian Province.
The project tackled the technological challenges of integrating offshore wind energy and deep-sea fish farming, promoting China's wind power development in the high seas.
Once operational, the three-column semi-submersible floating platform can generate 16 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity per year.
