A flight of swallows perished in a sudden cold snap in southeast China.

Video filmed in the city of Laibin in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on November 13, shows a massive gathering of swallows, swirling in the skies, amidst a scene dotted with numerous dead swallows on the ground.

According to Mr Zeng, an eyewitness, the temperature plummeted from a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius the previous day to a chilly 10 degrees overnight, marking a rapid transition into winter-like conditions.

People found themselves abruptly switching from wearing short sleeves to heavy coats, and sadly, many swallows could not adapt to the sudden freeze and perished.
