Police officers braved -24 degree Celsius cold to rescue camel buried in snow in northwest China.

The video was filmed in Karamay City in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on February 18.

Amidst a harsh snowstorm, two camels found themselves buried under snow in a desolate stretch of desert near Karamay City, Xinjian.

Promptly responding to the distress call, police equipped with rescue gear arrived on the scene. Despite the bone-chilling -24 degree Celsius temperatures, officers persevered for three hours, managing to save one of the camels.

Tragically, the other camel had already perished. By 4:00 p.m. that same day, after extensive coordination efforts, police successfully reunited the lost camels with their nomadic owner.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
