Teachers from at least 30 different schools in Los Angeles gathered on November 14 for a rally calling for a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.

The event was organised by Union del Barrio and the Association of Raza Educators.

Attendees were seen holding signs calling for a ceasefire and they were heard chanting: "Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel's crime."

Teachers from at least 30 different schools from ALL OVER the LA area. Also college students who are soon to be teachers. Black, Brown, Asian, White, Pacific Islander, Arab, Jewish and all kinds of people present! It was a demonstration of genuine international solidarity with the people of Palestine. This event was organize by Union del Barrio and the Association of Raza Educators call on ALL TEACHERS and school employees to attend this rally to demand that the Israeli military stop the attacks on the Palestinian people immediately! CEASE FIRE NOW!

The educators said, that they CANNOT witness the genocide that is currently taking place in Palestine and remain silent or indifferent. Doing so would be a terrible lesson for our students! In this awful time, we must take a stand and speak against the killing of innocent civilians in Gaza and in the West Bank. US must immediately stop funding the Israeli war machine and should instead use those funds to improve our schools here and even abroad.
Teachers rallying in front of Congressman Jimmy Gomez' office to demand that he continues to support a cease fire and that he votes to stop funding the Israeli military who has killed more than 10,000 Palestinians in less than a month.
After this rally they are going to organize teach-in they said: Please spread the word about this rally!

This event is against the genocide that is happening in Occupied Palestine and NOT against the Jewish people. Teachers denounce any and all forms of antisemitism, Islamophobia and hatred.
