Adverse weather conditions, influenced by the Shear Line, Northeast Monsoon, and Low-Pressure Area (LPA) at San Bernardino Strait, have led to severe disruptions, causing Port Congestion at Matnog Port—known as the Gateway to the Southern Part of the Philippines (Visayas & Mindanao).

Due to these challenging conditions, vessels operating on the Matnog to Allen route have been unable to adhere to the required turnaround times. Consequently, some vessel masters have opted to temporarily suspend their scheduled trips.

Current Status of Matnog Port:

Vessels Departure: 9 out of 28;
Total Rolling Cargoes Inside and Outside the Port: 422;
Length of Rolling Cargoes from Queuing Area: 4.1 km.
