A scooter rider was rescued after he fell into a ditch in northern India's Uttarakhand.

This incident happened in Tehri district of the state on November 30.

Visuals showed the rescue operation at work wherein the officials took the victim, a 40-year-old named Naveen Sharma, to safety. Sharma was escorted up the ditch by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) officials. The terrain was a rocky one and hence, the rescue operation was tough but the officials pulled it off successfully. Sharma had crashed into a ditch which is around 50 meters deep near Mahadevchatti. The information about this accident was shared to the SDRF by the Bachelikhaal police post and upon receiving the news, the rescuers along with SI Neeraj Chauhan left for the spot with the required equipment to save the man.

Upon arriving at the spot, they worked hard in the darkness and tough terrain to rescue Sharma and then send him to the hospital with the help of an ambulance.
