Some participants at the 5th World Media Summit (Yunnan, China) have said that their countries have benefited a lot from the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), expressing their strong support to the initiative.

"Actually, Cambodia is one of the countries who strongly support BRI. The BRI has been providing a lot of benefits to Cambodia. Especially on Nov. 16, we just got a new international airport in Siem Reap (under the framework of BRI)."

"Hungary is part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Actually we became part of it as the first European country. We are very proud of this. I think that for Hungary it is very important that the communication between the West and the East, the East and the West continues. For Hungary, this is very, very important and that's why we are happy to be part of the initiative."

The fifth World Media Summit (Yunnan, China), held in the city of Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province, was attended by more than 300 representatives of around 80 institutions, including media outlets, international organizations and think tanks, from nearly 30 countries and regions.
