A heroic deputy named Matthew Yerby managed to rescue a woman from a burning car during a daring nighttime operation in Oklahoma City on December 17.

Deputy Yerby arrived at the scene and immediately smashed the vehicle's window so he could pull the distressed woman out of the vehicle.

Sheriff Tommie Johnson III expressed immense pride in Deputy Yerby, stating, "Without even thinking of his own safety, Deputy Yerby rushed to the burning car and saved the woman. If he had hesitated even a second or two, the victim likely would have been killed."
