This is the moment Russian helicopters hit Ukrainian strongholds with unguided rockets in the Donetsk region.

The attacks were carried out with Mi-28N helicopters in the direction of Donetsk, Ukraine, on Thursday, December 28.

Russia's Ministry of Defence stated that all Ukrainian Armed Forces targets were successfully destroyed in the attack.

A Russian troop said in a statement obtained by Clipzilla: 'We received a combat mission to support ground forces, went to the target area, hit the enemy's stronghold with aviation rockets from a manoeuvering flight, and returned to the base area.'

The ministry added: 'As part of a special military operation, army aviation performs tasks such as escorting convoys, destroying armoured vehicles, delivering airborne troops, military cargo, and providing air support to units operating in the area of special military operations.'
