This footage reportedly shows a Russian Tor-M2 system destroying Ukrainian drones and loitering munitions near Orikhiv.

The crews were providing air protection for Russian units during offensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia region in Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defence said in a December 5 statement.

Echeloned air defences allegedly ensured maximum cover from rockets and from Ukrainian reconnaissance and strike drones.

Officials said that during combat duty the previous day, a Tor-M2 crew destroyed six heavy strike UAVs and loitering munitions attempting to attack Russian units of the 58th Combined Arms Army.

A deputy commander of the crew, identified only by the call sign Maloy, said: 'On that day about six drones were hit. There was a very large attack from the enemy. But we worked, all targets were hit, no one passed us.'

The ministry added that air defence units are covering troops, command posts and headquarters, as well as settlements in areas it claims are regularly targeted by Ukrainian forces using airborne attack systems.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
