This footage reportedly shows Russian assault motorcycle groups on ATVs clearing out Ukrainian strongholds set up in forest belts.

The images were reportedly filmed in the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine, a December 8 statement by the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.

The ministry stated that assault groups from the 139th Regiment of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok grouping cleared strongpoints that Ukrainian forces had established in forest strips in the region.

The assault motor groups were the first to reach the forward edge of the Ukrainian fortifications during the alleged attack.

They launched a series of assaults, purportedly destroying the strongholds and forcing Ukrainian soldiers to withdraw.

Afterwards, the Russian MoD said the assault troops consolidated their positions and advanced further into Dnipropetrovsk.

A platoon commander with the callsign Kalash said: 'Now there is rain, fog, strong mud - on motorcycles it is not always possible to get in. So we take ATVs. We roll in, and after the command, we begin the clearing. That is how we work.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
