A Buddhist monk rescued a drowning dog from a river in Thailand.

Footage shows the orange-robed man wading in the water while pulling a pooch to safety after it had been trapped in the deeper part in Bangkok on July 16.

He later took the dog back to the local temple where he lives. The pooch now roams around the grounds where it is weill fed and cared for.
