Heroic Officer Rescues Child from Frozen Pond in Jonesboro, AR, USA

A police officer's quick thinking and bravery were on full display as Officer Troy Ellison crawled onto a partially frozen pond to rescue a child who had fallen in. The incident occurred at the Gladiola Estates complex on Saturday, January 20, as captured in footage released by the Jonesboro Police Department.
The video shows Officer Ellison running through the estate before locating the child, who clings to the edge of the ice with his body submerged. With assistance from another officer and the fire department, Ellison successfully pulls the child up and off the ice.
The child was promptly taken to the hospital to be checked for cold weather injuries.
