The Guardia Civil agents successfully located a 73-year-old man who went missing yesterday after leaving an elderly care facility in El Puig, a town in the Valencia province.

According to the spokesperson of the armed institute, the man was found at 9 am amidst cultivation fields. Agents from the Sagunto company participated in the rescue mission, and a helicopter was employed to comb the area.

The man was discovered approximately 500 metres south of El Puig, lying down surrounded by shrubs and signalling his presence by waving his arms for visibility from above. The patrol provided immediate assistance at the scene before facilitating his transfer.
