A massive Airbus Beluga was spotted on the airfield of the Liverpool John Lennon Airport on Monday afternoon.

The A300-600ST Super Transporter normally lands at the Hawarden Airport, but was diverted due to high winds on February 5.

It was seen taking off on the runway a few hours later.

The Airbus Beluga is a large airliner designed to transport plane parts and outsize cargo. It received its name due to its nose which resembles the head of a beluga whale.
