On March 15th, around 5 p.m., a forest fire broke out in Baizi Village, Sichuan Province.

Following the outbreak, a sudden wind of level 8 or above emerged around 2:30 p.m. on the 16th, intensifying the fire and causing it to reignite along the northern and eastern fronts. The fire quickly spread northeastward, resulting in three separate fire zones extending from south to north.

With the efforts of over 1,200 rescue personnel, as of the early hours of the 18th, firefighting operations in the forest fire near Gaxila Town in Garze Prefecture have progressed smoothly, with the flames extinguished in the first fire zone, closer to the county town.

It's reported that efforts to combat the fires in the second and third zones are continuing as planned, with progress being made. The Sichuan Forest Fire Brigade has successfully prevented the spread of the fire from the second zone to the northeast, effectively containing its further expansion. Additional reinforcements from the Sichuan Forest Fire Brigade were deployed to combat the fire in the second zone in the early hours of the 18th.

According to statistics, a total of 11 villages and one community, comprising 837 households and 3,396 people, have been affected by the fire situation. All residents have been safely evacuated, and there have been no casualties reported.

3月15日17时许，四川省甘孜州雅江县呷拉镇白孜村发生森林火灾。
山火发生后，因16日14时30分突起瞬时8级以上大风，火场风力突然增大，前期火势得到控制的北线、东线复燃出现明火，并迅速向东北方向蔓延发生飞火，形成由南向北3个火场。
经1200余名救援力量全力紧张扑救，截止18日清晨，甘孜藏族自治州雅江县呷拉镇森林火灾扑救进展顺利，距县城较近的1号火场明火已扑灭，负责1号火场扑救任务的甘孜州森林消防支队已转入清理烟点和站杆、倒木阶段。
据了解，2号、3号火场按计划继续进行扑打，进展也较顺利。四川省森林消防总队特勤大队及配属雅江、九龙、康定、丹巴专业扑火队在同达村突破火线后，成功阻截2号火场向东北方向蔓延的林火，有效控制了火场进一步扩大蔓延。增援的四川省森林消防总队攀枝花支队、阿坝支队、凉山支队已赶到雅江，18日凌晨也投入2号火场扑打。
经统计，受火情影响共计11个村1个社区837户3396人，已全部安全转移，暂无人员伤亡。
