STORYLINE:
In a recent interview with Xinhua, a Guinean scholar has lauded the education cooperation between Guinean and Chinese universities in recent years.
SOUNDBITE (French): SAYON DOUMBOUYA, Director of External Relations, Cooperation between universities and science and technology of the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry
"The cooperation between the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry and China is mainly in the field of learning the Chinese language and civilization and then in the field of railway engineering.
Guinea's work with Chinese universities is reflected primarily in the area of teacher training. Currently, there are many teacher-training institutes in China, and many Guinean students are trained in China.
In addition, in order to cultivate more talents, we must introduce more proactive measures, such as the establishment of joint colleges, just like the Railway Engineering College. In this way, the cost will be much lower than sending many people to China for training.
My final word is always to salute our Chinese partners, our Chinese brothers and sisters who have always been there for us, to continue lending us a hand for a better future and an even stronger friendship."
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Conakry.
