Chinese tourist luckily saved after terrifying mountaintop slip and fall
A woman was rescued after slipping and falling while posing for photos at a mountaintop in China.
Terrifying video footage filmed in Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province on March 17, shows a woman clinging onto a rock and lifting her feet off the ground to form an "L" shape with her body. As she prepared to descend, her foot appeared to slip, causing her to fall from the rock.
The person filming the incident stated, "She was caught, no harm done."
On March 18, officials stated that they had not received any rescue information regarding the incident. However, they acknowledged that similar incidents have been reported in recent years, and they pledged to enhance publicity, persuasion, and supervision efforts in the future.
Paiya Mountain, standing at an altitude of 707 metres, is the sixth highest peak in Shenzhen City, commonly known as "Shenzhen's Little Huashan" and also referred to as the "first dangerous peak of Shenzhen." With its rocky terrain and panoramic views of the sea from three sides, the mountain resembles a row of uneven teeth when viewed from the south.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
