This is the moment Apple CEO Tim Cook opened the largest Apple store in China.

Footage shows the tech giant executive being greeted by excited crowds as he opened the doors of the store in Jing'an, Shanghai, on March 21.

He flashed a victory sign as Apple fanatics applauded, cheered, and approached to ask him for selfies.

The store is reportedly the biggest in China, and second-largest in the whole world after Apple's flagship store in New York's Fifth Avenue.

Cook's high-profile visit comes amid falling iPhone sales in China, which now has 57 Apple stores nationwide.

The flagging sales were attributed to fierce competition from domestic rivals like Huawei.
