Firemen rescue dog trapped in 70ft steep ravine in Italy
This is the dramatic moment firemen rescued a dog that was trapped in a 70ft steep ravine in Italy.
The Fermo Fire Department and Speleo Alpine River personnel responded to a distress call from a worried pet owner in Fermo, Italy.
The team immediately sprang into action to retrieve the canine from the ditch on the evening of June 12.
Footage shows a group of firefighters carefully hoisting the stranded brown pooch in a harness up the cliffside.
One of the rescuers is seen guiding the animal out of the creek bed.
Once the dog was secured, responders gently petted the animal to comfort him before reuniting him with his owner, unharmed.
