CONRED confirmed that efforts to contain the blaze on Tipon Hill in La Palmilla village are ongoing, with aerial combat operations playing a pivotal role in suppression efforts.

The community's firefighting personnel are also actively engaged in combating flames in the Covirrey municipal regional park in Soloma, Huehuetenango, as emphasized by CONRED.

Furthermore, CONRED highlighted the coordinated efforts of various institutions within the CONRED system to extinguish a forest fire in the Rio Blanco village, located in the municipality of San Pedro Pinula, Jalapa.

The impact of these devastating wildfires extends across 12 of Guatemala's 22 departments, with particular concern in Peten, where incidents are concentrated in the municipalities of La Libertad and San Andres.
