Angry customers attacked car wash staff with knives in Thailand.

A black pickup truck arrived in front of 89 Carwash at Bangchak gas station demanding for a service in Khon Kaen, Thailand on April 7 morning.

As it was blocking the front of the store, employee Songkran Promma, 42, said he asked the driver to move his truck but they tried to assault him.

Footage shows the chaos ensuing as a man running towards Songkran with a blade. He tried to block them with a stick, but the man's companion climbed down the car, and they both kicked him while he lay on the ground.

Songkran said: 'I was washing another customer's vehicle before the pickup truck arrived and parked.

'I spoke to the driver that his car was blocking the path so I told him to move his car over there and moved his items in the back of the truck down politely.

'However, the customers left their car and spoke to me. One of them said, ‘I am here to get my car washed! do you think you are such a hot shot?' and assaulted me.

'Then, they revved their engine loudly and drove away, saying, ‘I will be back to take you down.'

Songkran recounted that he attempted to fight back with the wooden stick while his colleague Songchai assisted him.

He said that he retreated to the office area, but the customers continued to pursue him with the intention of assaulting him.

The assault left Songkran with a bruise under his left eye and a wound on his left elbow.

After the incident, he filed a report to the Mueang Khon Kaen Police Station after he obtained a medical certificate.

The police later visited the scene and collected footage from surveillance cameras capturing two angles of the altercation.
