the community of nagari gunung malintang, pangkalan district, limapuluh kota district has a unique tradition that is performed every after eid ul fitri, that is the bakajang tradition, the community rides on decorative boats to visit each other and get to get in touch during eid
In the prime bakajang was held using modified boats or canoes, as the times developed, now boats are changed into miniature ships, the shapes of the shapes are almost similar like a cruise ship,to move the ship,by being pushed by youth.

this activity is aimed at improving friendship between children and neiches from the four tribes in jorong nagari gunuang malintang.
on the batan maek river, as much as five boats have been transformed by youth in four jorong into large ships,the ships are designed in various shapes,resemring various ships and even cruise ships.

and this tradition has been carried out since ancient times and has been passed down from generation to generation
