On April 23rd, within the premises of Chongqing Zoo, southern China, a startling incident unfolded as two giant pandas, siblings "Yuke" and "Yuai," playfully overwhelmed a female keeper for several seconds, with one of them making biting gestures. The ordeal only came to an end when another male keeper rushed to her aid. During the commotion, one panda scampered up a tree while the other continued to pursue the keeper until they all retreated indoors.

In response to the incident, the management of Chongqing Zoo issued a statement, clarifying that during the afternoon of April 23rd, while the keepers were guiding the pandas to the feeding area, the playful animals began chasing them, resulting in the keeper being knocked down. Fortunately, neither the keeper nor the pandas sustained any injuries. Following the incident, the zoo promptly convened a safety meeting, identifying lessons learned and implementing stricter guidelines to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
