Pharmacy owners rescue a boy swept away by the rushing floodwater in southern China.

Video filmed in Shanwei City in Guangdong Province on April 27 shows a boy being carried away by the force of the water, struggling to stay afloat and clinging desperately to a rope on the roadside. Fortunately, the quick actions of the pharmacy owners prevented a tragedy.

Reports from the scene indicated that the water level reached knee-deep in some areas, with deeper pockets posing even greater risks to pedestrians.

A spokesperson from the Jieshi Town government confirmed on April 28 that the rescued boy had been safely transported to a medical facility and was in stable condition.

目击者称，获救男孩是被水流冲下来的，当时困在水中无法站立，在路边拉着一根绳呼救，随时又被再次冲走的危险，幸好药店老板及时出手相救。获救地点水深到膝盖附近，其他积水较深处甚至超过了大腿。
28日，碣石镇镇政府一名工作人员表示，这名男孩获救送医无大碍。
汕尾气象局于27日晚发布了暴雨红色预警，提醒大家停止户外作业和活动，尽可能留在安全场所暂避，需防范暴雨可能引发的内涝、滑坡等灾害。
