These solitary wasps are famous in Australia for making little mud nests in the most random places. This particular species, the Delta arcuata (or Potter wasp) laid an egg in the next first, has paralysed this caterpillar by stinging it and is stuffing it into the mud nest where it will serve as the first meal for the emerging wasp larvae.
