A woman gave birth to 5 daughters together, all the children along with the mother were healthy on Kishanganj,Bihar Northern India on may 6.

Tahira Begum, 20, who already has a three-year-old son, was unaware of the magnitude of the pregnancy until a few months after testing positive.

20-year-old Tahira Begum, resident of Jalmilik village, was undergoing treatment in a private nursing home.

Tahira told that when she was 2 months pregnant, she came to know that there were four children in her stomach. Later, when she went to the doctor for a checkup, she found out that there were not four but five children. Initially she was very scared, but the doctor assured her and said that everything would be fine.
All of them weighed under 1.65lbs (750 grams).

Her husband Javed Alam was by her side. All of the babies were healthy and were kept in for observation over the coming days.

The attending physician, Dr. Farzana said that such cases occur very rarely. When the diagnosis was made in ultrasound, the woman was scared, but we encouraged her. Regular check up continued for 9 months. Last Saturday morning, Tahira suffered labor pain and was admitted to the clinic. The case was quite challenging but we gave priority to normal delivery. The patient gave birth to 5 girls through normal delivery. The patient and her daughters are healthy.

There were no complications but because there were five, they were underweight. The heaviest was 750 grams.'

The delivery was successful without any complications, but the babies were underweight.
