A bear accompanied by two cubs created a wave of panic in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir. While the bear managed to evade capture, the wildlife department successfully rescued the cubs, ensuring their safety.

The incident took place in the Hari Pora area of Ganderbal on May 7.

Visuals showed the rescue team members were seen carefully capturing the two young bear cubs as they roamed along the busy road, ensuring their safety amidst the bustling surroundings.

In a recent sighting along the Srinagar-Leh National Highway in the Hari Pora region, residents were startled by the presence of a bear and its two cubs, prompting concerns for public safety. Prompt action by the wildlife department averted a potential crisis as they swiftly intervened to secure the cubs. The young bears were later released back into their natural habitat in a suitable forested area.
