This is the amusing moment a sparrow landed on a table to join a passenger for breakfast at Shanghai airport.
The traveller was spotted eating baozi—a steamed bun—and eggs when a small brown bird landed on his table in the departures lounge at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport in China, on May 7.
Footage shows the man tearing off a piece of the bun and placing it near the sparrow, which immediately began to peck at it.
House sparrows are social birds and are often seen in cities. They can occasionally fly into large buildings such as shopping malls and airports and if they have become used to humans, venture close enough to them to receive scraps of food.
