In this shocking video, an 18-year-old teenager in Ankara, Turkey, fixated on his mobile phone, walks straight into a bus during rush hour on May 22 at 8:20 am.

CCTV footage captures the moment the distracted teen crashes into the slow-moving bus, face-planting on the front of the vehicle.

Fortunately, severe injuries were avoided as the driver, Omer Bostan, quickly hit the brakes.

The stunned teenager, identified as EK, falls back and sits on the roadside.

Driver Omer Bostan immediately checks on him, and EK is taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

Omer commented, "I waited for him to see me and run away, but he did not. I hit the brakes and stopped, but not before the boy hit me. My speed was between ten and 20 kph. If I'd had a fast speed, God forbid, that kid's head would have been broken, or something worse would've happened."
