A high-speed car hit a scooter in Gurugram, Haryana, on May 27, causing the rider to fall and be dragged for about 50 meters.

The incident, captured on a CCTV camera at a nearby bike showroom, occurred as a vegetable seller was en route to the market. The car, identified as an EcoSport, did not stop after the collision.

The injured rider was taken to Sector-10 Civil Hospital by onlookers. Police from Sector-9 arrived at the scene to take the rider’s statement and have launched a hunt for the driver.

According to reports, a vegetable seller on his way to the market on a scooter was hit by a speeding Eco sports car. The impact of the collision was such that the scooter rider along with the scooter was dragged about 50 meters away.

The car didn’t stop or slow down after hitting the scooter. The injured were admitted to Sector-10 Civil Hospital by the onlookers. As soon as the information was received, Sector-9 police reached the spot and took the statement of the injured. A hunt for the driver of the car is underway.
