Tree falls onto road causing power lines to explode during storm

Dashcam footage shows the heavy downpour battering the area when the hardwood toppled over and dragged down the electrical cables in Pattani province, Thailand on May 21.
There was a blast and sparks flew everywhere with the debris blocking traffic.
Driver Rangsinee Hua Konthong who owned the dash cam that captured the scene said: ‘I was driving slow because of the rain but I would have been hit by the tree if I drove faster.'
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are at the start of their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms. The rudimentary infrastructure often struggles with the deluge, leading to widespread flash floods.
