As a relentless heat wave tightens its grip on Northern India’s Delhi, residents find themselves battling an additional challenge: a severe water shortage.

The exasperation is evident in the words of Rakesh, a resident who expressed frustration at the municipality's indifference to their plight, eagerly awaiting the end of elections in the hopes of a resolution.
