A terrifying moment was captured in Taiwan as a massive landslide struck the entrance of Chaojing Park, burying vehicles on June 3.

Dashcam footage captured the moment as rocks and debris surged like a flood, scattering vehicles, some crushed by boulders, others buried under rubble.

Eyewitnesses reported that a roar suddenly echoed from the mountainside, followed by a torrent of soil and rocks cascading down, instantly burying the road below along with the vehicles.

Following the landslide, the Keelung City Fire Department swiftly mobilised rescue teams to the scene.

Upon initial assessment, it was found that several vehicles were trapped within the landslide, including one car struck by falling rocks with occupants trapped inside.

Rescue personnel immediately commenced operations, using tools to clear each trapped vehicle and transporting injured individuals to hospitals for treatment.

According to the Keelung Fire Department, nine vehicles were involved in the landslide incident, with all occupants fortunate to have escaped safely. Two individuals sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospitals for further treatment.

Preliminary investigations, based on dashcam footage and eyewitness accounts, suggest no other trapped individuals or vehicles beneath the landslide area.

The landslide occurred on a critical route connecting Keelung and New Taipei City, resulting in the suspension of traffic in both directions.

Relevant authorities are working diligently to expedite road repairs and restore traffic flow promptly.
